Under building permits on this website, there are no provisions for a K-8 school being built inside Bridlewood Farms subdivision in Ridgeville, SC. This referendum was defeated to halt construction of a Bridlewood K-8 and will be at least + 5 more years according to a Mr. Windum at the Dorchester County Planning and Zoning as well as the Dorchester County School district Administration office. Dorchester 2 schools has not funded any money to build any school in Bridlewood due to not even close to the students needed to even bring up a vote. Instead, a new super middle school on route 61 and intersection of 17A called East Edisto. The problem: State and County funds require at a minimum of 750-1000 students before an agreement would be considered to build a new middle school inside Bridlewood Farms in Ridgeville or in any community for that matter. For those amount of students in the Ridgeville area to accumulate that many students would indeed take well beyond 5 years.
For those of you that were persuaded to build a home in this subdivision by Dan Ryan Sales representative in Bridlewood Farms is erroneous. Not to mention a sales and marketing ploy to get money from potential home buyers to have homes built by Dan Ryan. This is way out of context and not to mention against real estate ethics and morals. The State Real estate board need to know that practicing false and erroneous marketing ploys are being made by Dan Ryan Builders Sales Associates to lure potential family's with kids into the area knowing that these kids will have to ride a bus each day for +30minutes to and from school. On a second note and just as important as the first, residents were bought on the fact that a 24 hour EMS Fire station was going to be built on Bridlewood property at the intersection of Bridlewood Farms Parkway and Gulfstream. Now, there is no information leading up to a confirmed building of this much needed resource. The Fire Station at Routes 61/27 have been upgraded. You can assume for yourself. Dan Ryan sales people continue to address (1.) A school K-8 will be built on site and (2) An EMS Fire station would also be on site. Neither of these have be funded nor does it look like they will.. Do as you please. Bridlewood Farms presents false information that is being given. The trust in both Dan Ryan Builders, the sales representative and also the land developer has deteriorated to a all time low according to some residents there. The State HOA Ombudsman in Columbia should be contacted about the covenants concerning the building and installation of private fencing around residents without approval or outside the scopes of the fencing being 6ft high and the smooth part of the fencing being toward the outside or to the viewing of the public. Between the developer of the community and the HOA management company, allowing deviations of the way fencing is put up can and will open up a bucket of worms and could pose different environmental issues such as vegetation control between two fencings.
