Woodland Shores Community on James Island – Part 1 of a 3 Part Series
Have you ever been to James Island? It is beautiful, unique and full of history.
Even though it has a population of over 12,000 there is a small-town feel among the residents. On Sunday mornings you will see many residents attending the Sunday Brunch Farmers Market. It is a 100% local market that takes place from 11:00 am-3:00 pm every Sunday behind the Charleston Pour House.
We had the pleasure of visiting the market this past Sunday. We enjoyed the many vendors there and one special lady we met was Raychelle, who is also known as The Pickle Lady. Raychelle has a variety of pickles and will insist you try them all. She hands out what felt like tons of samples and we could not resist buying some. We ended up bringing home the pickled okra and pickled beets. Delicious!
Woodland Shores Road is the street located directly next to the Sunday Brunch Farmers Market. There are several homes available for sale in the Woodland Shores subdivision. The owners of 416 Woodland Shores have great things to say about the farmer’s market: “the farmer's market at The Pour House on Sundays has been super fun for us to walk to as a family with our dog.”
Have you been to the Sunday Brunch Farmers Market? If so, tell us your favorite vendor in the comments.
