Spring in Charleston SC. What a Life!
April 1st, where has the year gone?
I know that is cliche, but so true. If you live in the South, as I do, April has arrived bringing its usual luggage. The azaleas are beginning to kick into high gear and there are a myriad of flowers everywhere you look. Beautiful weather is right on track, with sunny days and temperatures that allow anything from shorts to light weight jackets comfortably.
Charleston is a town of magic in every season,
each one has a special kind. The Spring Magic in Charleston, SC, introduces itself with the Cooper River Bridge Run, a phenomenal site of runners and walkers over our beautiful bridge, and the Summerville Flower Town Festival. The season is now open, and we expect to see our city vibrant and alive with business, people and nature. You just want to be outside. Go for a walk, a bike ride, sit at the pool, ocean , or on your lawn! Soak up the sun rays and recharge your batteries.
The food in Charleston is some of the best you can find in the world! In the Spring, the menus begin filling with "fresh off the boat" entries of fish, shrimp, oysters, you name it. Sitting at Red's Ice House on Shem Creek outside, eating fried shrimp and watching the boats go by is a must do in Charleston in the Spring.
The mood in town is upbeat, and smiles abound! People are out shopping for pool gear, surf boards, warm weather clothes, and homes.
It is wonderful to LOVE where you live, you should join us if you are not already here!
