SPRING BREAK!  Hamlin Plantation Style!

Everyone loves spring break, I mean why would you not?  Well, maybe if you lived in a cooler climate where the weather is 'iffy' at best and Spring hasn’t yet sprung.  But down here in Charleston, Spring Break is fabulous!  There’s so much to do and you don’t even have to travel to do it!  If you want to get away though, you don’t have to go far!  As my son said this week when we made the 25 mile trek to Kiawah Island, “this isn’t anything special because we get this view and these palm trees every day.  I don’t feel like I’m on vacation”.  UMMMM, I hope I’m not raising someone who isn’t grateful??!!

I decided to make this post early this morning, as I was leaving our community gym. The post is basically a piggy back to my previous post about Hamlin Plantation.  If you are looking to buy a home, don’t discount this neighborhood because it’s not south of the IOP Connector and further away from Charleston.  It’s one of the best, north of the connector!

I was filled with warm fuzzies as I walked home from my awesome workout in the neighborhood gym. Not only is it included in your HOA fees of just $950/year, it’s stocked with 2 treadmills, 2 bikes and 3 step machines!  There are free weights and Cybex type weight machines, exercise balls, mats and 2 TVs’ - basically everything you could want.  There’s also smiling faces of those around you when you are in there! That's important!

On the walk home, I saw kids everywhere!  The community was buzzing early in the morning!  Then tennis courts were filled with lessons and camps, kids were coming in and out of pool (more on that later), moms and their toddlers were in the playground and older kids were walking around with dried plough mud up to their knees with their fishing poles in tow.  I just love this place!  Bikers passing on the paved paths and the gorgeous landscaping all around.  I even noticed that there’s a new Little Library at the clubhouse were community members can borrow books.

Not everyone likes this type of community but if you do, check it out!  There’s always houses for sale but they never last long.  All price ranges as well!  I have a new listing coming soon very soon, priced at 1.14M but you can also grab a single family home for 415K.  Who do you know that I should talk to about moving here?  Or just moving within Charleston?  List with Lauren, buy with Lauren!  I’m always looking out for what's best for you!  Happy Spring!
