South Windermere Neighborhood Ring
Here is a quick piece of History/Religious fact that you may enjoy about South Windemere, which I gave For Sale Info on Last Week.
The local Community Eruv (neighborhood border, which can be seen here: http://www.bsbisynagogue.com/about/eruvim/ ) is created to encircle All of South Windermere. It includes the Local Shopping Center (South Windermere Center).
A Community Eruv allows religious Jews on Sabbath and Yom Kippur carrying outside their homes (transferring something from one domain type to another domain type), among other things, house keys, tissues, medication, or babies with them, and to use strollers and canes, as long as they are within the Eruv. Having an Eruv especially affects the lives of people with limited mobility and those responsible for taking care of babies and young children (from wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eruv). Without the Eruv, the local religious Jewish community of South Windermere would have to stay in their house the whole time of their holidays (Sabbath and Yom Kippur) if they had to carry the above mentioned items. It is my understanding the Eruv in South Windermere is a Wire strung all around this neighborhood and could use the existing utility wires to encircle the neighborhood.
