Living on Daniel Island, South Carolina
There are so many wonderful places to live in the Charleston, SC area! One that doesn’t get a lot of attention to newcomers is Daniel Island. For years it was owned by a foundation and was used primarily for farming and hunting until I-526 connected it to the mainland in the early 1990’s.
It was purchased by the Daniel Island Co. who created a master plan for the entire Island. Today it is very quaint with a small town (under 11,000 residents) atmosphere, keeping in line with the beloved Charleston architecture and treescape.
The family Circle Tennis Center, Musc health Stadium, a private country Club with golf courses designed by Tom Fazio and Rees Jones are all at your fingertips. The real charm of this Island however is the hundreds of acres of parks, greenspace and more than 25 miles of trails adjacent to a downtown with restaurants, doctor offices and wonderful independent businesses ready to make you feel right at home!
Call me and I’ll happily show all this gem of an Island has to offer!
