Yes, the Rehab is Still Moving Forward and I will continue to blog on that next week.
In the meantime, I found this article online (The Post and Courier, June 18, 2016): http://www.postandcourier.com/20160618/160619378/seabrook-island-named-among-top-restored-beaches and I really thought it was something we should get out to the masses.
In summary, this article is stating that the Seabrook Island beaches were one of five winners of an annual award (ASBPA) for the nation’s best “restored” coastline. One of the other winners was Highland Park, Illinois. If I recall I launched my boat there back in the mid-90’s (my Chicago roots showing). For those who are not familiar with Sea Brook Island, it is located right next to Kiawah Island, SC. If you see the picture in the article, there is a River flowing out to the ocean at the top (Kiawah River….dolphins frequent this river and corral fish and then beach themselves to eat the corralled fish, known as strand feeding. I have seen a Loggerhead turtle there as well). Kiawah Island (I just call it Kiawah) is just to the top/north of that river and known for the home give away (HGTV) and the PGA Championship (2012 & 2021).
If you are thinking of moving to The Low Country and want to live by the Ocean, check out this Listing which I have listed for my client on the MLS (MLS# 16007877 located at 1009 Old Wharf Road, Seabrook Island, SC). It is proposed construction so you can have the builder create your Dream Home (estimated at $1,025,000).
Have a great July 4th.
