Riverland Terrace at a glance
Riverland Terrace, developed starting in the 1920s, it is James Island, South Carolina's oldest neighborhood. Located just 10 minutes west of downtown Charleston, South Carolina along Wappoo Creek and the Intracoastal waterway. The neighborhood has a public boat landing, The Charleston Municipal Golf Course, a playground, eight GREAT restaurants, one being Zia Taqueria with one of the best Margaritas in Charleston, The Terrace Theater (and yes they serve beer and wine) the CHARLESTON POUR HOUSE | Love Live Music one of Charleston's best live music venues, and the best place to buy flowers is Charleston Flower Market. If you think I am biased, I am because I live there and frequent all these places regularly. I also have to mention Maybank Animal Hospital, Charleston, SC 29412, Dr. Jacqueline Ann Brewer, DVM (where with my five shelties, I spend a lot of time) Dr Jackie Brewer is the finest there is.
Leading into the neighborhood is the historic Avenue of Oaks, consisting of 73 live oak trees believed to be over 100 years old. They once led to Wappoo Hall Plantation, Wappoo Hall Plantation - James Island, Charleston County, South Carolina SC owned by Lt. Col.
