The Old Village is not only full of some of the areas most beautiful homes, it's also one of the best destinations is the area to exercise or go on a picnic. Living in the Old Village gives me easy access to numerous pretty streets and great routes to run/bike in but it's also a very common place for people to drive to to get their workout fix. Whether you are meeting goals for the new year, training for the Bridge Run or simply wanna take a stroll with pretty scenery, the Old Village is an excellent spot to check out. Alhambra Hall, located on Middle Street as well as the Pitt Street Bridge are also excellent places to take the family or your significant other for a picnic. The cozy benches, plush grass and perfectly spaced apart trees for hammocks make these parks top notch places to kick back, relax and admire the beautiful surroundings we are spoiled with here in the ocean front Low Country. Listen to the ocean, feel the warm breezes and watch the ships pass by the Charleston Harbor. With hundreds of little side streets you've never been down and copious sidewalk space, you will never feel unsafe while exploring the never ending walking routes this neighborhood has to offer. Park your car at the Pitt Street Bridge and walk a little over a mile to your favorite Shem Creek spot or treat your beloved dog to walk of a lifetime. There's no better place in the area that captures everything we love about Charleston like the Old Village neighborhood. The gorgeous architecture, charming streets, luscious parks and breath taking views makes this neighborhood rein supreme in this remarkable city we call home.
