Quick Trip to Western North Carolina
As I have mentioned in a few of my previous blog's, there are several great areas within a few hours of Charleston.
One of my favorite places to getaway is Western North Carolina. Depending on where you go it could take 3.5-7 hours to get to from Charleston. This past trip we decided on the Lake Lure and Chimney Rock area. We rented a great cabin and spent some time checking out the small town of Chimney Rock, did a super fun corn maze at Grandad's Apples N' Such in Hendersonville, and had a nice hike at Chimney Rock Park. Unfortunately, 3 days after we did our hike at Chimney Rock Park the park closed until further notice due to heavy rains washing away some of the roads.
We also just missed the leaves changing colors by about a week. They were just starting to change colors as we were departing on Sunday.
This is just one of the many reasons I love living in the Lowcountry! We have the beautiful coast here, but if you need a quick change in scenery it is only a few hours away!
As always, please keep me in mind if you, your friends, or family have any real estate needs in the Charleston area!
