Hurricane Irma has come and gone. Irma left many parts of the Lowcountry under water, but did spare us from any major hurricane winds.
I am sure at this point, everyone has heard enough about Hurricane Irma! One of the great things about living in Charleston is we have the beach so nearby. One of my other favorite things about living in Charleston is we live only a few hours from the beautiful mountains of North Carolina. My family reserved a cabin in Hays, North Carolina last week when Irma's track was heading directly to Charleston. This was only the second time in my 25 years in Charleston that I decided to evacuate. While Irma was busy flooding the Charleston area, my family and I enjoyed a nice getaway in the cool air of the mountains. We enjoyed several hikes in Stone Mountain, but for the most part just relaxed! Stone Mountain is a 5-6 hour drive from Charleston and a very beautiful area to check out if you have never been!
As always, please keep me in mind if you, your friends, or family have any real estate needs in the Charleston area!
