Old Rice Retreat – All about Power washing
Old Rice Retreat-Cane Bay Plantation-All About Power Washing
Why does one need an HOA? It’s not about making up rules to make residents mad. Though they tend to. They enforce covenants to make sure the homes and areas in a neighborhood are kept up to a certain standard. This can greatly increase or maintain the value of homes within a neighborhood when you eventually sell your home. Think about it. You really need an HOA to make sure your neighbors maintain their properties as much as you hopefully do. See the picture below? Yuk!
We decided to have our home power washed before we get a notice from the HOA to do so. In addition, some parts of our home looked pretty green as you can see. We did the same for the Backflow test that is required each year. The guy who did that job sent us an email reminder which helps!
We called Paul’s Pressure wash to do the job. 2 young men came to the house and set up their equipment using our outside water lines. I asked them what cleaners they use to do the job and was advised Bleach and household cleaner. The job using two pressure washing machines can take approximately 45 minutes. Paul’s pressure wash is a small company with normally 3 employees and the owner. I say normally because one of their workers recently decided to quit. They did a fine job and the green is now gone. Because they are so busy, especially this time of year, they are looking at getting another power washing truck so they can expand. They work all over the Tri-County area. They advised me their next stop was the Piggly Wiggly in Summerville. See the after photo? The green is all gone!
So the HOA isn’t all bad. Just drive through a neighborhood without an HOA and tell me what you think next time you receive a notice from your HOA to correct an issue.
