Offshore Fishing in the LowCountry

April is the time of year that offshore fishermen in Charleston look forward to.  This is the start when the dolphinfish (mahi) start making their return offshore.  According to Don Hammond, a fisheries biologist, ‘I really think you need to be fishing by the second week of April at least’.  You can read more about his thoughts in his February article from the Tideline Magazine here: Dolphin anglers should be prepared for an early season.

While offshore trolling for dolphinfish, you can also target wahoo, billfish (sailfish and marlin), kingfish, and tuna.

This is the beauty of living in the LowCountry!  Year round access to water for recreational boating, inshore and offshore fishing, or lounging at the beach!

Please keep me in mind for any real estate needs in the Charleston area.

Tight lines!
