As one of my favorite Low Country communities, I continue to follow the growth & development in this Small City community. Today, I report that Nexton has hit a milestone - with the sale of it's 100th home!
When I first visited Nexton, some sixteen months ago, Brighton Park Village had just opened, with only a handful of people living there. The ambition was big - to build a community where you could walk from home to just about anywhere else you needed to be: With that idea came; Nexton Elementary School, the new Swim Club, eateries, and eventually the boutiques of Nexton Square and the coming of Village Center.
Today, 100 families are calling Nexton home and living the lifestyle. When visiting this community you see: families riding bikes through the neighborhood, splashing around the swim club and grooving to the music in Brown Family Park.
Brighton Park Village is quickly growing into a beautiful, mature community......The Swim Club is now open and has become the place for fitness-oriented, lap-swimming adults and splashing, marco-polo playing non-adults. It's also a hangout for those who prefer sitting in the shade and playing a little bocce.
More exciting developments are in the making in Nexton. By year - end families will see a new Starbucks opening in Nexton Square. Unlike the typical Starbucks, this Nexton location will offer craft beer and wine in the evenings.
There is a lot more in store for Nexton families. Harris Teeter has just announced they will be opening a new store in the very near future. And, Del Webb-Charleston know for its adult style communities has announced plans to build 1,000 homes within this - Small City of Nexton!
The future of Nexton is looking very bright!
