Last week, Hamlet Square was our focus & is in the same part of Mount Pleasant, SC. Parish Place is another neighborhood tucked away at the end of Mathis Ferry Road, just before I-526. When traveling away from the city of Charleston, Parish Place is on the right side of Mathis Ferry Road, the east side. With the feel of a very small community, Parish Place surprisingly has 144 homes that were built mostly in the early 1970's. There are 127 condo units that are separated from the single family homes by Bowman Road.
There are currently 2 homes for sale in Parish Place. The two vary from $171.96 price per square foot ($455,000, 2646 total sqft) to $196.76/sqft ($669,000, 3400 total sqft). There is 1 Active/Contingent home which is on Mathis Ferry Rd. Because of the traffic driving by the home, this one is less expensive than most in Parish Place. It is listed for $175,000 and is 1257 sqft (3Br/2Bth). This home is owned by HUD.
Since 01/01/2016 there have been 9 homes sold. The homes range in price from $275,000 to $460,000. There is a wide range of prices per square foot here, starting with the above mentioned HUD home at $162/sqft to the most expensive at $277.66/sqft.
Next week we will find another hidden area consisting of 56 nicely built townhomes (Lake Hunter Commons, or Hunter Lake Commons as others call it).
If you have any interest in seeing homes up along the Mathis Ferry Road entrance to Mount Pleasant, please give me a call. These homes are out of the way and very secluded with direct access to the bridge to downtown Charleston.
You will have no headaches from having to sit in traffic with all the stop lights on Highway 17.
