Heron Pointe is just next door to Olde Park, of which I talked about last week. You simply follow Mathis Ferry Rd once you get into Mt. Pleasant from the Ravenel Bridge. It is a mature neighborhood and was originally slotted for 64 Homes, which they have now. I am reading that it was developed back in 1986 and the last home was finished by the late 80’s. I drove by again to get some pictures and found a brand-new home that was almost completed (far back section and the home was huge, and backed up to marsh and views of Hobcaw Creek).
They have a small lake (Lake Heron) and some of the homes have the luxury of having their homes see the lovely views from their back porches.
With only 64 homes in this subdivision, there are no homes for sale at this time. I am not seeing any under contract as well (Active/Contingent). It looks like there were 3 homes sold in 2016 and they range in price from just over $500,000 (2 of them) and one that is on the marsh with private wooden walk out to dock on Hobcaw Creek going for $1,825,000. The views are stunning and it also has an L-shaped pool.
If you are looking to find a quiet and uncongested neighborhood with a mature setting this is a great choice. It also has very low HOA Fees, so no worries about neighborhood common things like Pools, Parks, etc, as you can have your own spacious property and pools.
Give me a call and let me help you find your Dream Home.
