As the fourth of six kids growing up, I wasn't going to wear second hand clothing again by choice. I wanted new. Then a friend of mine offered to buy me two new dresses if I would go to a thrift store with her. Five dollars and two new-to-me brand name frocks later, I was hooked!
My thrift store of the week is the Goodwill on Shelby in Charleston 29414. I found a brand new, tags on pair of gray brand name pants and two pairs of Talbot slacks. I spent $10 for all three.
In addition, I took a bag of old clothes that might not be reusable, but no worries, Goodwill sells the clothes to be recycled for fabric. I also took an old computer that no longer fires up. They recycle that, too. And create jobs.
Did you find anything good this week?
