My husband and I are huge soccer fans because our 3 children all played when we were raising them in Atlanta. In fact, our 2 daughters played college ball. Our oldest was recruited to play for University of Central Florida in Orlando. She was in the first group of female athletics throughout the country to play after the enactment of Title IV … You go girl!! I coached my youngest throughout her youth club soccer until she was recruited by University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill … 4 NCAA championship rings!!
While raising our family, we frequently vacationed in downtown Charleston, Isle of Palms and Sullivan’s Island. When it was time for us to leave the traffic and crime in Atlanta, we sold our family business and headed towards the low country. We bought our forever-home in the Seaside Farms community. This neighborhood is just over the IOP Connector 5-10 minutes from the beach!! We have the best neighbors … When we were moving in, several neighbors welcomed us with desserts, casseroles and pizza. Even now, if we’re working in the yard, the manly-men will lend a hand (especially if we pull out the power tools).
I mention we have 3 children. I’ll tell you about my son and more about Seaside Farms in my next post.
