Lunch Eats in Charleston Stop #1
Lunch Eats in Charleston stop #1: Torres
We ordered at the front of the store from their regular menu that hangs over the cash register, even though there were some very tempting choices on the daily specials board (think Hot Tamale Thursdays and Fajita Fridays – will try these next time). Daily choices include tortas, tacos, burritos, quesadillas and more with your choice of chicken, pork, beef, fresh chorizo, al pastor and more. We both decided on burritos – one chicken and one pastor and of course delicious homemade salsa verde on the side. After a short wait in the back of the store where the magic happens, our order was ready to go. We then headed down to Hampton Park to enjoy our hearty lunch. This was a nice break from the fast-paced Charleston restaurant scene, and a great choice to show my daughter there are many great places to get a bite to eat - off the beaten path - yet still on the peninsula.
