In just 20 short minutes you can be in the backwoods of nature.  We drove past this many times on our way to Florida (south on Highway 17, before Ravanel) and we finally decided to venture out to see it.

There is a bird walk you can be a part of on Wednesdays and Saturdays.  We took a short walk around by ourselves, just to get to know the place a bit. Here are some pictures of the wilderness.

This 2 ft gator was relaxing and snatching up minnows as they wandered by.

They have many walking trails with interpretive kiosks and signs throughout.

1. Habitat Loop

2. Bottomland Hardwood Forest Trail

3. Swamp Sanctuary Trail

4. Upland Forest Loop

5. Rice Fields Trail

6. Waterfowl Trail

7. Marshland Trail

8. Maritime Forest Trail

Can you find the Mother Alligator in this picture.?  Her back is to you.

On another note, if you are thinking of Buying or Selling a Home here or any other states, let me know, as I am always looking to help however I can.
