For many reasons, Hamlin Plantation is arguably one of the best neighborhoods in Mt. Pleasant. There are several sections of Hamlin which include, Madison, The Village, Hamlin One, Waverly and The Sound. Each have their own feel but all are similar in that the subsections are all very well taken care of, have a nice southern style and all the residents are friendly & will say they love the neighborhood.
Madison was the first section built in 2001 and has single family homes ranging from 2,000 – 3,500 square feet. There’s also townhouse style condos with and without garages. Some of these are 2 level condos while others are 3 levels. The price point in this section as a whole range from the 230’s for the condos and $400,000 – 580K.
The Village was also built beginning in 2001 and consists of only single family homes. The lots are a little bit larger than in the Madison, as well as the home sizes. These houses range from 2,800 – 3,400 square feet and the mid $500,000 to upper 600’s.
Next, we have Waverly in the back of the neighborhood, which started building in 2004 through 2012. This subsection consists of single family homes as well as townhouse style condos and larger attached homes. Price ranges start at 450’s up to 730’s for the single family homes and 2,400-3,700 square feet. If you’re lucky, you can get a home on the marsh!

Finally, we have The Sound. This section of the neighborhood is complete, with the exception of a few homes are still being built. This section consists of custom homes and range in price from the $680’s to over two million dollars. This section of the neighborhood backs directly up to the Hamlin Sound where there are some amazing sound/water views and large lot sizes.
