Why Move to The Old Village?
There are many reasons why one would want to live in the Old Village, but the biggest one for me is LOCATION. The 10 minute drive to downtown Charleston and less than 5 minutes to Sullivan’s Island is about as ideal as it gets. Not to mention its close walking proximity to beautiful Shem Creek and dozens of bars, shops and restaurants. The neighborhood was designed beautifully with many different types of architecture and green space areas. It is loaded with side walks and street lights making it one of Mount Pleasants safest, most accessible areas to walk/bike in. It is also an excellent neighborhood to walk your dog given all the parks and endless supply of walking routes. The neighborhood is almost completley residential except for Pitt Street which conveniently has a bakery, drug store, luxury hotel and a few highly claimed shops/restaurants. The breath taking views at the Pitt Street Bridge and Alhambra Hall make this already beautiful neighborhood that much more beautiful. You can drop a kayak in the marsh, go fishing/crabbing or go on a picnic just minutes from your home. This neighborhood has had the reputation since the beginning of this towns existence as one of the most desirable areas to live in the county and that has not changed a bit. The property values are always climbing and a purchased home in this neighborhood should never be a bad investment. The neighborhood offers several different living styles, from 2 bedroom town homes to 6 bedroom, waterfront mansions. The sense of community is amazing and there’s never a shortage of fun activities to do or cheerful neighbors to do them with. The real question is, Why wouldn’t you move to the Old Village?
