Where Do You Take Out of Town Guests?
If you have lived in Charleston for very long you must know that we get a lot of visitors. Friends and family love having a place to hang out at the most sought after destination today. It is a lot of fun and will likely have you doing touristy things that you wouldn’t have otherwise done. So where’s it happening?
The Beach - Well that’s an obvious one weather permitting! Whether you go to Kiawah, Folly or Isle of Palms, our beaches are among the most beautiful on the east coast!
The Market - It’s nice to stroll around the market while picking up a trinket or two. Really gives you a feel for what the old Charleston would have been like.
Historic Homes - There are many to choose from. Magnolia Plantation, Aiken Rett House, Calhoun Mansion or Nathaniel Russell House. The architectural designs are classy! And you can see the house that George Washington stayed in while in Charleston!
Museums - Charleston Museum, Children’s Museum of the Lowcountry and Gibbes Museum of Art are a few here in Charleston. Browse through the collections of art and enjoy the rich history of our area!
The Aquarium - Feel at home with all kinds of fish and an albino alligator. There is an 385,000 gallon tank that will make you feel like you are in the ocean.
There are many more options to consider! But these suggestions should have your guests feeling like they have not only had a visit with a friend or family member but also like they have had a real vacation too!
