The Good Life in the Old Village
Yes, we all know Charleston is an excellent city to live in and that people from all over the country are relocating here like crazy. Downtown Charleston is a great place to live but what makes our city special are all the great surrounding towns that are all unique in their own ways. Mount Pleasant is on the rise and growing faster than ever before and the Old Village is one of, if not thee most desirable areas to live in the city. I think life is great in the Old Village and I think that people should target this area as a place to call home if they can.
Most importantly, the property values in the Old Village are very sturdy. There isn’t a bad neighborhood to invest in as this will forever be thee place to live in the city. Secondly, its location could not be any more convenient nestled between Shem Creek and the Sullivans Island Connector. Its less than a 10 minute drive to downtown and only 5 minutes from beaches of Sullivans Island. Beautiful Shem Creek, shops on Coleman Boulevard and some of the finest restaurants the city have to offer are all in walking/biking distance. The neighborhoods are full of children playing, people exercising and the utilization of green space is very impressive. There are numerous homes built in different periods offering different architectural styles. No two homes are the same as this area is full of charm and character and far from cookie cutter like a lot of Mount Peasant’s newer subdivisions.
Crabbing at the Pitt Street Bridge Park, biking to your favorite restaurant for a meal or simply taking a stroll down the pedestrian friendly streets are just some of the activities this area has to offer. Life is good in Mount Pleasant but its better living in the Old Village. For more information on things to do in the Old Village or homes on the market...call Pat Gallant at 843-790-4728!
