Over the past few months, I’ve had the privilege of showing several homes in The Crescent historic and beautiful neighborhood right off of busy Folly Road. Live oak trees and mature landscaping line the serene streets where you can often find residents walking their dogs or riding bikes. It's a very peaceful atmosphere, which is surprising with its close proximity to Folly Road.
The neighborhood was established in 1926, and most of the homes are on spacious lots of around half an acre or more. The current market values range from around $1 million to $3 million. Last week I showed one of the older charming homes built in 1940. Many homes have been completely renovated with additions, while others are still ‘retro’.
Porter Gaud, a college prep day school, is directly behind the neighborhood, so one nice benefit of living in The Crescent is that your children can conveniently walk or ride their bikes to school.
Next week, I will tell you more about the history of The Crescent. If you are interested in checking out the homes there, please call or text me at 843-276-7976.
