Charleston recently came in at No. 27 on a new ranking of the best cities to live in the US. An analysis of the nation’s top 100 metro areas by US News & World Report considered these 5 categories; desirability, strong population growth, job market, quality of life and cost of living. A grade from 0-10 was given in each of these categories.
The area offers many living lifestyle choices. From active adult communities (currently the tri-county area is home to 8 55+ living communities) to sub-divisions of all sizes & shapes. If the active adult lifestyle is not for you, the area offers so many other lifestyle living choices.
Let’s take a look at the newest addition of 55+ communities to hit the area. Construction officially began at Del Webb Nexton. Del Webb broke ground at the award-wining Summerville master-planned community in December. The first homes are slated to be ready in early 2018. This will be Del Webb’s second active adult community in the area, designed for those 55 and better. You can also find Del Webb building at Cane Bay Plantation in Summerville.
The Del Webb portion of the neighborhood will span 350 acres within the master-planned community of Nexton and will ultimately offer 1,000 single-family homes. Eleven consumer-inspired floor plans will be available from three distinct home collections, ranging in size from 1,262 SF to 2,565+ SF. Open concept, single-story homes will feature gourmet kitchens with center islands and large pantries, optional lofts, convenient laundry locations, abundant storage, built-in conveniences, spacious master suites and outdoor living areas.
All homes at Del Webb are built for peace of mind and lasting quality. Prices begin in the mid-$250’s. With the variety of styles and prices, homebuyers are sure to find the perfect home to fit their needs and wants. Pre-sales for the first phase of the community are expected to commence later this year.
Del Webb homeowner’s will enjoy resort-style amenities centered around a proposed 25,000 square-foot clubhouse with heated indoor and outdoor pools, fitness center, tennis, pickle ball, Bocce, 50+ miles of nature trails, parks, resident-led social clubs and a full time Lifestyle Director. In addition to the amenities for which Del Webb communities are famous, Nexton residents will also benefit from GigaFi, the state’s fastest Internet connection.
