Moving to Summerville SC Part 11-What To Do?

Since we lived in Florida for the past 3 years, there really wasn’t any season besides summer although we did have “winter” – if you could call it that – for about a month in Jan/Feb - many days the temperatures would stay in the 60’s but not for long.  However, in the Fall the trees didn’t change colors and you didn’t feel like it was football season.  So now that we are in Summerville – I don’t expect Fall to be like when we lived in Wisconsin & Connecticut – but nights are cooler and I do see some trees changing colors.

During the next few weeks while anxiously awaiting our house to be completed (we have been delayed a week because of the hurricane) I’ll list some events to look forward to this Fall in Summerville/Charleston:

  1. The Scrumptious Summerville Kitchen Tour is on October 1st from 1-5pm.  I do want to check this out.
  1. The Summerville Junior Service League sponsors a Ghost Walk on Saturday, October 28th that sounds interesting. They also sponsor Scarecrows on the Square from October 24th to November 4th – information on both of these events can be found on their website.
  1. What would Fall be is you didn’t go to a corn maze? West Farm Corn Maze in Moncks Corner looks like it would be a blast for all ages – I’m definitely going this although will probably get lost.

These are just 3 possibilities of what to do this Fall – turn in next week for more.  Let me know if you have any ideas on what to do in South Carolina in the Fall – I am always looking for things to do since its my favorite season.
