Lowcountry Inshore Fishing
This past Wednesday morning, I had the pleasure of getting on the water with some great friends to fish low tide and the incoming tide around the Wando River area. The peacefulness of being on the water at 6:30am in the Lowcountry is really second to none. This is the time of the year I really enjoy being out on the water. The slight breeze, cooler morning temperatures, and the sights and sounds of being on the water seem to slow everything down and remind you to take the time to enjoy where we live.
We started the morning off with fishing artificial bait (some top water and some under a popping cork) with Kevin and Andy landing some trout and smaller redfish. We then decided to move from our spot and threw the cast net for live shrimp and mullet. The remainder of the morning we fished with live bait. We missed a few nice bites, but we did end up catching some nice redfish!
At the end of the morning, we all caught some fish, lost some fish, but more importantly were able to enjoy the outdoors in the Lowcountry!
If you are looking for a home near the Wando River - Some subdivisions with access direct access - Rivertowne, Dunes West, Park West, Darrell Creek, Horlbeck Creek, Brickyard Plantation, Hobcaw Creek, or Hobcaw Plantation please reach out and I would be glad to help! My family was one of the first 10 homes in Dunes West back in 1992 and we currently reside in Rivertowne Country Club...so I am very familiar with the area!
As always, please keep me in mind if you, your friends, or family have any real estate needs in the Charleston area!
