LowCountry By Water
Some of the beauty of the LowCountry is the miles and miles of waterways. From cruising the upper Ashley River viewing some of the plantations by water, floating down the Cooper River checking out some of the old naval ships at the Old Navy base, or tubing on the Wando River there are plenty of options if you want to hit the water!

Don’t have a boat? No problem! There are still plenty of options to hit the water in the LowCountry.
- Boat rentals – You can rent boats (by the hour or by the day) at the Downtown Charleston Marina or Isle of Palms Marina. Want a boat but do not want to commit to the purchase or maintenance of one? Maybe you should check out Freedom Boat Club at Patriots Point.
- Jet Ski rentals – You can rent jet skis through Tidal Wave Sports on Isle of Palms and ride the Intracoastal waterway checking out some of the area’s barrier islands.
- Kayaking/SUPS – Feeling a bit more active? There are several areas in the area that you can rent kayaks or Stand-Up Paddleboards. Check out Coastal Expeditions. They are located in 6 different locations around the LowCountry.
- Charters – Maybe you want to sit back and relax and let someone else do the work! Look for a local charter captain to take you out fishing, dolphin tours, sunset tours, or walking on a barrier island looking for shark teeth. There are lots of options in this category, so please feel free to reach out to me for some of my personal recommendations!
As always, please keep me in mind if you, your friends, or family have any real estate needs in the Charleston area!
