How Does the Orange Grove Charter School Lottery Work?
Applications for the 2017 -18 will be taken starting in November and ending in December, with the lottery for between 800 and 900 spots taking place in January. The final dates will be determined soon. All applicants will be assigned a randomly selected, lottery drawn number. Invitations for Charleston County residents to attend Orange Grove are determined by the lottery number after priority enrollment has been given to:
- Children of Faculty and Staff
- Siblings of current students
- Students that live in the original attendance zone
Once all spaces have been filled, a lottery waiting will be compiled. This list will consist of all students that were not selected in the lottery and students that complete the application after the December deadline.
