Yep Statistics...nope not that dreaded college course, but great figures to know if you are buying, selling or thinking about it in Hanahan, SC. As a life long resident of Hanahan I grew up playing in the woods in Otranto and what is now Eagle's landing. I remember learning that what is now Tanner was in Hanahan when they started building, "who knew?!". Well now we've grown to the point that we are building a second elementary school, and that's big news, since all of the kids have gone to school together since, well...forever. Conveniently located between 526 & I-26, minutes from Boeing,the airport, downtown, the beach, shopping; Hanahan is smack dab in the middle of the Tr-County Area.......And we have been discovered, great schools, great community involvement and great Value in Home purchases.
So by the numbers in May, the average days on market for homes for sale was 46 days as opposed to 58 days for the entire Charleston area...both indicate strong markets. May 2016 average cost per square foot is up from last year by $10 from $108/ft to $118/ft. So a 2000 square foot home went from average of $216,000 to $236,000. In May we closed 31 homes, and currently there are just over 50 homes for sale in Hanahan. This indicates a very tight inventory, we need your listing.
