One of the most popular current home trends is styling your coffee table. Coffee table decor is one of my most favorite things because it can be as fun and personal as you want to make it. There are so many great websites that have lots of options for decorative items for you coffee table, and almost all home decor stores are going to have great options as well. I've gathered up a few tips and tricks that really do add to the overall look and feel of your coffee table.
Here are a few of the things I've learned that can help you achieve the look you desire for your coffee table:
// Add height :: If you look at photos of coffee tables on Pinterest or Houzz you are bound to notice how almost every table has something tall on it. In order to balance out your table it's important to use one, or even multiple objects that are tall enough to add some good height. Some great options that I've seen used are fun colored candle sticks/holders, tall vases in a fun pattern, lanterns and even orchids.
// Interesting objects :: Whenever I look at images of styled coffee tables my eyes always go to the strange and odd ball objects that people use to style their coffee table with. The use of objects can be personal objects that have meaning to you or just fun objects that you think are interesting. I don't think you can ever have too many intriguing objects on your coffee table- so feel free to use several depending on how large your coffee table is. Some favorites that I have seen are funny shaped items, magnifying glasses, beads, bursts, rocks, corals, shells, etc. The list goes on!
// Greenery :: I love the idea of adding greenery to your coffee table. For one, I think it looks great to incorporate a natural item on your table, but the use of greenery also adds a fun pop of green as well. This can easily be accomplished through faux (or real) greenery and fresh flowers. You can even make this the tall object on your coffee table if you desire.
// Books :: Who doesn't love a good coffee table book? There are so many different types of coffee table books on a variety of subjects. Some people use the books just for the looks, and others chose books with content that interest them. Either way, try checking out Amazon for these books, as coffee table books can be quite expensive!
