HOA at SEASIDE FARMS
HOAs are not for everyone. As a REALTOR I hear, “I don’t want my neighbors in my business.”,” I don’t want anyone telling me what I can or cannot do with my property.”, “I don’t want to pay the fees.” As a homeowner myself, I completely understand these remarks. BUT, the HOA of Seaside Farms is so reasonable as far as fee and board decisions. Basically, they want the streetscape to be consistent … no purple houses. Seaside Farms’ HOA is very strict about maintaining a groomed yard, taking trashcans from the street the day of pickup, keeping tree branches from growing into the road. I am so grateful for that as I have had to call on our HOA when a homeowner wouldn’t mow their lawn. I went to the homeowner first and when I got the door slammed in my face, I took pictures and sent them to our board. The neighbors where fined until they cut their grass and it has been maintained since … I don’t expect to get a Christmas card this year.
As for the annual fee, it is a small amount when one considers the good work these folks do to keep Seaside Farms one of the most desirable communities in Mount Pleasant.
