The Children’s Museum of the Lowcountry will host a free family day this Saturday May 12th from 4-7pm.
The Children’s Museum is a non-profit organization who’s mission is to “engage young children’s potential by inviting families of all backgrounds to explore environments and experiences that spark imagination and stimulate curiosity through the power of play.”
- Start your visit in the art room. Your children can create their own masterpiece with washable paint and let it dry while they play and explore the rest of the museum. Or how about a picture designed with yarn and string? So many different crafts they have fun with. Although they have smocks to protect their clothes from little Jackson Pollack drips, its best to dress your children in their play clothes.
- Move on to the a play area or skip straight over to the music room and beat on the various drums or hop of the floor piano.
- The next room is my toddler’s favorite…the water room! If you dare, let your children play have play boat races and paint with water.
The list of activities and play rooms goes on but go check it out for yourself. I don’t want to give it all away…it is free on Saturday!
