Fishing in the Lowcountry
Inshore Fishing in the Lowcountry-
After looking at the weather forecast this morning, it looks like our 4 days of cooler weather will be behind us. With the temperatures starting to warm up, now is the time to get out on the Lowcountry waterways and ‘wet a line’. If you are not familiar with the waterways around the Lowcountry we have 3 major rivers that meet in the Charleston harbor. The Ashley, Cooper, and Wando rivers provide Lowcountry anglers mile upon mile of beautiful river banks to catch redfish, spotted sea trout, and flounder. Along with the 3 major rivers we also have the Intracoastal waterway, the jetties, and several near shore reefs. Don’t have a boat? No worries! The Lowcountry also offers great fishing opportunities along the beaches, Mount Pleasant Waterfront Fishing Pier, Folly Beach Fishing Pier, or if you are lucky enough to have a friend or family member with a home that has a dock. There are also some great residential subdivisions in the area with community boat slips and fishing docks for their residents. For more information on these subdivisions or any real estate needs in the Charleston area please feel free to email or call me.
