The Charleston Museum, founded in 1773, is America's First Museum. This museum preserves and gives an interpretation of the cultural and natural history of Charleston and the Low Country of South Carolina. Hours of operation are Monday thru Saturday, 9am -5pm and Sunday 12pm-5pm. Located at 360 Meeting Street, downtown Charleston. Ticket prices vary depending on the number of sites visited. Break Out Escape Game of Charleston offers 4 rooms with 4 unique styles of play. Every room provides fun and really challenges you. This is fun for all ages. The inspiration for break out escape games is to inspire people to work together and have fun all the while. In each room a series of challenges must be solved within 60 minutes. Break Out Escape of Charleston is located at 18 Leinbach Drive, the West Ashley section of greater Charleston. They are closed on Tuesdays. Hours of operation are 12-11pm with a cost of $28 per person. Rooms must be booked prior to arrival. Call at 843-714-9132.
Old Exchange and Provost Dungeon is today received as South Carolina's most historic building. Feel the history coming alive as Colonial dressed tour guides talk about Pirates, Patriots and Presidents. Located at 122 E. Bay Street, downtown Charleston is open daily 9am-5pm. Call at 843-727-2165. Children 0-6 are free, Children 6-12 are $5 each and adults are $10 each.
