Darrell Creek, Mount Pleasant SC
The residential neighborhood "Darrell Creek" is located between the Wando River and Darrell Creek in Mount Pleasant, SC. This neighborhood is conveniently close to Roper St Francis Hospital, Mount Pleasant Regional Airport, Wando High School, Mount Pleasant Towne Centre, and just a short drive away to the beaches, to three nearby golf courses and dining and shopping. A drive to d'town Charleston is easy and should not take more than 25 minutes.
You will find that Darrell Creek is everything you desire and most importantly, it is a "different" neighborhood. Not one we get easily tired off because all homes look the same, or they are built too close together or trees have been removed so builders can space house closer together.
You'll find spacious water front and marsh front lots and even some deep water docks. Darrell Creek features beautiful, welcoming homes surrounded by outstanding neighborhood schools. This neighborhood exhales a real sense of retreat of relaxed living when it’s time to go home. This is the quality that set Darrell Creek apart from many other neighborhoods where oftentimes the "sameness" becomes overwhelming and boring.
Families seek homes in Darrell Creek which are nestled among the pines, palmettos and oaks, serene marsh views, and abundant wildlife. They enjoy more space and more privacy, and most lots back up to ponds, wetlands or Darrell Creek itself.
In this community, days can be spent crabbing with neighbors, hiking along creeks and marshes and lounging by the community pool. It’s a laid back lifestyle in a nature rich setting and away from the city. One finds canopies of palmettos and pines and homes here create a true reflection of your style and passions. Whether inspired by the raw beauty of the Carolina marshlands, the refined nature of Old Charleston or by your own imagination, at Darrell Creek, you will love the possibilities.
Darrell Creek used to be slightly on the outskirts of Mount Pleasant but Mount Pleasant has grown so much, that this is definitely no longer "all the way out there". Still, Darrell Creek has kept its tranquility and character and is a quiet oasis in harmony with nature. Darrell Creek is situated along the banks of the deep-water creek of the same name and the Wando River.
Residents benefit from neighboring developing areas without having to sacrifice their own community’s serenity. A planned community, the adjoining 1,700-acre Carolina Park is designed to give its residents the opportunity to live, work, play and shop within its bounds. As part of that plan, Carolina Park offers two integrated commercial districts with grocery stores, banks, national and local retailers, entertainment venues, restaurants and professional services.
Like Mount Pleasant, Darrell Creek’s developers also looked to the future when planning the community. With a location well off the U.S. 17 corridor and generous half to full-acre lots, the community is buffered against the area’s inevitable urbanization. Homes range from 3,000 to 5,200 square feet in size with most home sites overlooking marshes, the creek or river. Homes and vacant lots are available, many with docks for boating or fishing. Home prices range from the mid-$400s to $1 million plus. Most home buyers will be pleasantly surprised at how much more their dollars will buy compared to other Charleston real estate.
If you're in the market for a new home or hope to build your own dream home and love the idea of a "deal", this is one community you don't want to miss. Call me for a tour of Darrell Creek or look for homes in Darrell Creek www.DefinitelyCharleston.com
