The Charleston Animal Society
Yesterday I decided to take a trip to the Charleston Animal Society to maybe find a new pet. It was amazing when I drove up to the facility how neat and peaceful the area around the shelter looked. Even a fountain at the front of the building. The employees greet you with a smile and are happy to show you around the area. The play park caught my eye and that is where this handsome gentlemen was playing and running thru the water fountain cooling off and enjoying a little freedom. Inside passing by the enclosures with the dogs it looked like each one wanted you to take them home. One thing about the shelter is no kill for the animals. People coming and going donating supplies and food for the pets helps the shelter with furnishing the food and things needed to house the animals. The faces on the dogs seemed to say just take me home and love me. The term forever home is used for these animals. They do need a forever home and finding a new best friend to love can be found at the shelter.
That really is what they want is just to be loved and love their owner. What else could you ask for? If you want to know about the shelter and my visit just give me a call Dixie Hagan at 843-729-9878. The Charleston Animal Society is a great organization and one that we all should support for the job they do.
