What could be better than paying tribute to the Mount Pleasant fishing industry, watching a boat parade, eating seafood and dancing? The annual Blessing of the Fleet is finally here this Sunday, April 30th at the Mount Pleasant Memorial Waterfront Park. This event gets better and better every year so make sure not to miss all the exciting events. Enjoy a boat parade, featuring several of our cities treasured ships as they pass underneath the Ravenel Bridge. There will also be a craft show, local artist guild expedition, shrimp eating competition, live music and shag dancing. Indulge in some local seafood as well as some of your favorite Mount Pleasant restaurants who will be sampling out their menus. This event goes from 11-5 and admission is free.
